Good morning, Happy Warriors! 👋
Common sense has re-entered the room!
Today is Wednesday, October 23, 2024. We are 13 days away from the 2024 election.
Take a deep breath - God is still in control!
Here’s a Bible verse to get you through this week:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” - Proverbs 3:5
Here’s this week’s edition of “What’s Up, America? 🇺🇸” as I head off to school this morning:
2 weeks to slow the spread of communism!

If you asked me to sum up the current state of the 2024 race with less than two weeks until polls close, I’d share the picture of Trump hanging out a McDonald’s window.
His campaign stop over the weekend perfectly encapsulates the “common man” campaign style his team has been running since this summer, and arguably, one of the reasons he’s seeing a boost.
Let’s cut to the chase. If the election is held today, with no funny business, he wins, and it’s not even as close as 2020. Now, I do realize 13 days is a long time in politics for winds to change, but I’m feeling more confident now than I have since Harris entered. Why?
First of all; the missteps of Harris campaign. Harris entering the race with no policies and being coronated as the nominee with no votes was mistake number one. Mistake number two was going two months with no interviews, press conferences, or policy announcements. Mistake number three was going in to hiding post-convention and post-debate. Both times provided Harris a potential boost opportunity. Both times she was MIA for days, allowing Trump room to make up ground and keep the polls even. Mistake number four was standing up Catholics at the Al Smith dinner and kicking Christians out of her rally the next week. Her campaign staff seemed organized and component in July. Today they seem rag-tag, inexperienced, and delusional. The fact that she’s yet to detail specific policies, hold a press conference, or sit for a long form interview will be three reasons historians attribute to her downfall.
Trump on the other hand began to ride this upward wave the evening of July 13th when he was shot in the head and hasn’t gotten off it since. His team’s response was genius. His “I took a bullet for democracy” line was gold. No candidate switch, DNC convention, dismal debate, or constant hit pieces have brought him down. He’s stayed in the fight and continued to take voters away from Harris.
When people ask for election advice I always break it down simply like this: politics is a game of addition. Whoever adds the most voters wins.
Trump has won over Nikki Haley supporters, independent voters, and disenfranchised Democrats through strategic policy roll outs, A-team style endorsements from celebs and Democrats, and intentional outreach in places presidents “just don’t go”.
Trump won in 2016 as a voice for the forgotten men and women. I think it’s safe to safe the past few months of his campaign have had 2016 vibes around it.
Let me remind you, Trump beat Clinton simply by holding more rallies and focusing heavily on areas she overlooked. While the media tries to paint him as “exhausted”, he’s holding 2-3 rallies a day, plus 2-3 interviews, plus a roundtable/town hall or two. When I was with him last Tuesday night, he walked in after his 6th event of the day to talk to me and walk out and do a rally in Atlanta. He had more energy than me - easy. This “all gas, no breaks” mindset will be admired when historians cover what went right and wrong in this cycle.
He has 13 more days to get out his message and it doesn’t appear they plan on slowing down. As of this morning, he has 8 rallies in the next 7 days. 8! That’s not just town halls or press conferences or meet and greets. 8 rallies in a week! That energy and attitude should be a reminder to everyone reading this morning.
Regardless of inspiring poll numbers coming in, please, please, please do not get cocky, complacent or lazy. Please do not feel like you can just sit at home or stop campaigning. Treat this like we’re 20 points behind. We’re on the goal line. Let’s not go home now!
I gotta say, the first thing that came to mind when I saw Trump wave out the McDonald’s drive thru was that it’s “morning in America” again.
